To all SIIG customers,

As you may know, the European Union (EU) has adopted restrictions on hazardous substances contained in products sold to the EU market after July 1, 2006. The guiding directive is named RoHS (Restriction of the use of Certain Hazardous Substances.) Information of concentration of targeted hazardous substances is listed below for your reference.


RoHS- DIRECTIVE 2002/95/EC OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL of January 27, 2003 on the restriction of use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronics equipment
- Effective at July 1, 2006
- Targeted hazardous substances including:
  1. Cadmium (Cd)/Cadmium Compounds < 0.01 weight % or 100 PPM
  2. Lead (Pb)/Lead Compounds < 0.1 weight % or 1000 PPM
  3. Mercury (Hg)/Mercury Compounds < 0.1 weight % or 1000 PPM
  4. Hexavalent-Chromium (Cr6+) Compounds < 0.1 weight % or 1000 PPM
  5. Polybrominated Biphenyls (PBBS) < 0.1 weight % or 1000 PPM
  6. Polybrominated Diphenylethers (PBDES, including Penta-BDE and Octa-BDE) < 0.1 weight % or 1000 PPM
We are currently working with our suppliers in converting all components, accessories and packaging materials supplied to SIIG manufacturing to be RoHS compliant. Our goal is to provide Lead (Pb) free and RoHS compliant products to our customers no later than the fourth quarter of 2005.
