Overview

SIIG’s USB to 4-Port Serial is designed to instantly add four additional RS232 9-pin serial ports to your current USB-enabled desktop or notebook computer via an available USB 1.1 or USB 2.0 port. The USB to 4-Port Serial features a built-in 16550 UART with 16-byte FIFO buffers to dramatically increase data transmit and receive speeds under Windows multitasking environment. It supports baud rates of up to 115Kb/s and allows you to hot-swap devices (connect and disconnect) without first turning your system off. It is the perfect solution for connecting additional RS232 serial devices such as modems, ISDN terminal adapters, graphics tablets, PDAs, bar code scanners, label printers, and many more.

The USB to 4-Port Serial adapter comes with a mounting bracket kit, a 6ft USB cable, a driver CD and a comprehensive user’s manual. It is powered by Prolific PL2303HX chip and draws power directly from USB bus for low power consumption. The USB to 4-Port Serial is fully compliant with USB specification, revision 1.1, FCC Class B (DoC) and CE regulatory approved and RoHS-compliant.

The USB to 4-Port Serial is fully compatible with a wide variety of Windows operating systems and is backed by SIIG’s limited 5-year warranty.
