Overview

SIIG’s SATA PCIe host controller, the DP SATA 6Gb/s 2S1P PCIe, is designed to add two Serial ATA and one Parallel ATA channels for connecting up to 2 SATA and 2 PATA (or mix) hard disk drives to your PCIe-equipped computer. The DP SATA 6Gb/s 2S1P PCIe delivers data transfer rates up to 6Gb/s with SATA and 150Mb/s with PATA connectors. It is ideal for speedy, large volume data transferring and bandwidth-hungry applications, such as multimedia content processing, video editing, and port multiplier connectivity.

Additional features supported by this 2-channel PCIe host controller include SATA NCQ streaming and queue management command, AHCI 1.0 and IDE programming interface, ATA/ATAPI-7 specification, ATA and ATAPI commands, as well as RAID 0 and RAID 1.

The DP SATA 6Gb/s 2S1P PCIe host controller is packaged with a SATA cable, a dual-connector SATA power cable, an Ultra ATA cable, a driver CD, a comprehensive user’s manual, and a spare low-profile bracket to allow it to be installed in either standard height or low profile system.

The DP SATA 6Gb/s 2S1P PCIe host controller is powered by Marvell 88SE9128 SATA chip and is fully compliant with industry standards, including PCI Express Base Specification Revision 2.0 and Serial ATA specification, revision 3.0. It is also FCC Class B (DoC) & CE regulatory approved and RoHS-compliant. The DP SATA 6Gb/s 2S1P PCIe supports a wide variety of Windows operating systems and is backed by SIIG’s limited lifetime warranty.
