Overview

SIIG’s Low Profile 1394 Adapter is an excellent low profile form factor adapter card designed to add FireWire interface to your space-constrained desktop computer. It features three IEEE 1394a ports (two external and one internal), delivers data transfer rates of up to 400Mb/s, supports both asynchronous and isochronous data transfer modes, and allows you to hot-swap devices (connect and disconnect) without first turning your system off. It is the most reliable and cost-effective solution to connect your high speed FireWire devices such as DV camcorders/cameras, hard disk drives, removable drives, scanners, printers and other FireWire audio/video devices including TV, VCR, DVD to your PC computer. With the Low Profile 1394 Adapter from SIIG, turning your computer into a high speed multimedia center has never been easier.

The Low Profile 1394 Adapter is powered by Texas Instruments chipset and is compliant with industry standards, including PCI Plug-n-Play 2.2, IEEE 1394-1995, 1394a-2000 and OHCI 1.1 and is fully interoperable with FireWire and i.LINK Implementation of IEEE Std 1394. It is also FCC Class B (DoC) & CE regulatory approved and RoHS-compliant.

The Low Profile 1394 Adapter is fully compatible with a wide variety of Windows operating systems and is backed by SIIG’s limited lifetime warranty.
