Overview

SIIG’s FireWire 800 9-6 Adapter is designed to convert the 6-pin connection from your FireWire 400 (1394a) device to a 9-pin connection to work with the FireWire 800 (1394b) ports on your desktop or notebook system, allowing you to use FireWire 400 (1394a) devices with desktop and notebook computers equipped with FireWire 800 (1394b) ports.

The FireWire 800 9-6 Adapter supports data transfer rates of your connected device of up to 400Mb/s. It features 9-bin bilingual male to 6-pin receptacle and allows you to hot-swap devices (connect and detach) without first turning your system off. The FireWire 800 9-6 Adapter works with a variety of FireWire 400 (1394a) devices such as external hard drives, DV Camcorders, digital cameras, CD-RW/DVD-ROM drives and other audio/video devices.

The FireWire 800 9-6 Adapter is RoHS-compliant, and is backed by SIIG’s lifetime warranty.
