Overview

SIIG’s DP FireWire PCIe is an excellent adapter card for you to connect multiple high-speed FireWire devices to your system. It is designed to easily add three FireWire 400 (1394a) ports (two external and one internal) to your PCI Express-enabled PC or Mac® desktop computer. It supports data transfer rates of up to 400 Mb/s, and allows you to hot-swap devices (connect and disconnect) without first turning your system off. This 3-Port dual profile FireWire adapter card comes with a spare low profile bracket for low profile system chassis installations. It is the most reliable and cost-effective solution to connect your high-speed FireWire devices such as DV camcorders, digital cameras, hard disk drive enclosures, and CD-RW/DVD-ROMs to your PC or Mac computer.

The DP FireWire PCIe is powered by VIA chipset and is fully compliant with industry standards, including PCI Express base specification 1.0a and IEEE 1394-1995 and 1394a-2000. It is also FCC Class B (DoC) & CE regulatory approved and RoHS-compliant.

The DP FireWire PCIe is fully compatible with a wide variety of Windows and Mac OS® operating systems and is backed by SIIG’s limited 5-year warranty.
