Overview

SIIG’s FireWire 800 Cardbus DV-Kit is an excellent CardBus adapter designed to upgrade your notebook and PC computer with FireWire 800 (1394b) and FireWire 400 (1394a) interfaces for multiple device connections. It features two 9-pin FireWire 800 (1394b) and one 6-pin FireWire 400 (1394a) ports, delivers data transfer rates of up to 800Mb/s, supports both isochronous and asynchronous data transfer modes, and allows you to hot-swap devices (connect and disconnect) without first turning your system off. It works seamlessly with a variety of FireWire 800 (1394b) and FireWire 400 (1394a) devices including hard disk drive enclosures, DV camcorders, CD-RW/DVD-ROM drives, digital cameras, and other audio/video devices.

The FireWire 800 Cardbus DV-Kit is powered by Texas Instruments chip. It comes with a FireWire (1394a) 6-pin/4-pin DV cable to connect DV camcorders and other 1394 devices using 4-pin connector for your convenience, Ulead VideoStudio DV editing software to record and edit software on your computer, FireWire 800 driver software and a comprehensive user manual.

The FireWire 800 Cardbus DV-Kit is compliant with IEEE 1394b & backwards compatible with 1394a-2000 and 1394-1995 standards. It is fully interoperable with FireWire, iLINK™ and SB1394™ implementation of IEEE 1394 standards, FCC Class B (DoC) & CE regulatory approved and RoHS-compliant. The FireWire 800 Cardbus DV-Kit is fully compatible with a wide variety of Windows operating systems and is backed by SIIG’s limited lifetime warranty.
