Frequently Asked Questions (Q&A)

Will this connect my LG275kmdl monitor to my Mac minia1 hdmi ?

Hello, We don't know if it's going to work for you with the LG275kmdl.  It seems like it should work but it's hard to know for sure.  For reference, it works with the LG 27UK850-W with Mac Mini M1 in our test lab.

What is the voltage and ampere output for power delivered to the monitor when using this adapter?

There is no power output without the Micro USB power cable connected. With Micro USB power cable connected to USB 3.0 port, the power output is - 4.97V / Amps: 340mA / Watts: 1.69W. Unfortunately, this adapter doesn't supply enough power to monitors...

Q: I'm looking for a solution for my mini-pc and convert it in a "portable" computer. I'm thinking to buy some portable display (i. e., Wimaxit USB-C portable monitors), and I think this adapter is a perfect solution for to use only a wire, but could it to make work the touch screen too, whith the same wire?

Hello, This cable does not allow touchscreen support.

Can I connect a second Apple Thunderbolt Display to my Mac Mini M1 using this adapter and an Apple Thunderbolt 3 Male to Thunderbolt 2 Female Adapter? The Mac Mini M1 only supports connect One monitor on the USB-C (Thunderbolt 3) port and one more on the HDMI port but I Have Two old Thunderbolt Displays.

Hi, This adapter does not work with Thundebolt displays. It works with USB-C monitors that require DisplayPort Alternate mode signaling.

Will this work for connecting an M1 Mac Mini to a 24MD4KL-B LG Ultrafine monitor if one via the HDMI port?

Hello, Unfortunately, the adapter doesn't support LG UltraFine monitors.

Q: When using this HDMI to USB-C converter adapter, what is the voltage and amperage output of the power delivered to the monitor

This converter adapter does not support power delivery, only video converter and transmission. Please use the included Micro USB power cable for power delivery

Is there a preferred amperage for the usb power? Is it 2.4A

Hello, The preferred output is using a USB 3.0 port of 5V/900mA output, or a 5V/1.5A wall charger. You can also use a 5V/2.4A wall charger without harm to the adapter too.
