Continuing Philosophy
As with SIIG's entire line of products, they will strive to offer one of the most complete offerings of Hi-Speed USB 2.0 products available. Future plans for expansion includea line of Hi-Speed USB 2.0 memory card readers/writers, a full line of Hi-Speed USB 2.0 cables, and other varieties of Hi-speed USB 2.0 adapters/hubs. Hi-Speed USB 2.0
USB 2.0 offers data transfer rates 40 times faster than the older USB 1.x, running at up to 480 Mbps compared to the USB 1.x's 12 Mbps. All Hi-Speed USB 2.0 products are fully backward compatible with existing USB 1.x devices and offers the same user friendly features as USB 1.x, such as being hot-pluggable (connect/disconnectdevices without restarting system), and the ability to connect up to 127devices.
USB 2.0's high data transfer rates lends itself perfectly to the growing demand of high-speed/increased bandwidth products available today, such as digital video and still cameras, external drives, scanners, audio devices, etc.
