    Need to Know Before Buying

    1. Make sure your system requirement has a DisplayPort video output specification 1.4 and supports Multi Stream Transport (MST). If you are not sure, please check with the video card or system manufacture

    computer

    2. Install the latest drivers for your video card. Go directly to the system/video card manufacturer or chipset owner, such as AMD, Nvidia, or Intel, to find the latest driver. Driver update through Device Manager may not retrieve the latest driver available

    3. Please check your monitors resolution meet your need. If you use a 4K monitor to display in 1080p, there is a possibility that the link still gets 4K bandwidth and reduces the overall bandwidth for the other displays

gcard4. Adding additional displays to your system is simple with MST hub; however, they are mostly dependent on and tied to your Graphics Card's capability to operate properly and make sure your system requirements are met. Check number of displays on graphics card and notes that laptop display is count in

    5. MST hub cannot increase the number of displays a graphics card supports. Regardless of the number of display connectors built into your graphics card, each graphics card has a limited number of displays it can support. From our experience at the current time, AMD and NVIDIA video cards support up to 4 displays, while Intel supports up to 3 displays. If you are unsure, check with the video card or system manufacturer
*Note: NVIDIA graphics cards are recommended as AMD DP graphics cards may cause bandwidth limitations

Frequently Asked Questions (Q&A)

Q: I have a PC with a DP 1.2 DisplayPort. Is that compatible with the DP 1.4 to 3x HDMI?

Yes, it is compatible. The DP 1.2 DisplayPort still can use the DP 1.4 to 3x HDMI. But, the DP 1.2 bandwidth is lower than DP 1.4, max output resolution will be lower than DP 1.4 spec, not the same as DP 1.4

Q: Can I use this to connect a 3rd monitor to my AIO (All-in-One PC)?

Yes, it can connect to an All-in-one PC, but, please refer to our notes before buying, there are some limits need to know.
