I can’t access my hard drive.

Description: 
I can’t access my hard drive.

 

Solution:
Make sure your hard drive is working properly, check the cables if it is connected properly and the power LED is lit.

Check the following below.

1. If you installed a brand new hard drive, make sure to initialized and format it in Disk Management before you can use it. The hard drive should be called Unallocated. See below how to format your hard drive.

              - Right click Unallocated

              - Click New Simple Volume

              - Follow the screen instruction to complete the format.

2. If the hard drive has data and do not have a drive letter. The hard drive should be called Healthy. You need to add a drive letter before you can use it. See below how to add a drive letter.

              - Right click on Healthy

              - Click Change Drive Letter and Parths ...

              - Click Add

              - Assign a drive letter

              - Click OK to complete.
