Q: What should I do if my device doesn’t support PD but I only have a USB-C to USB-A cable?
You can still charge your non-PD device safely, but you’ll need to use a USB-A to USB-C adapter.
This adapter allows the USB-C charging port on the station to provide 5V charging output, which matches the standard power specification used by non-PD devices.
Without the adapter, the charging station may not detect the device properly and could prevent charging.
This setup ensures the station operates in a legacy 5V USB charging mode, avoiding handshake failures caused by missing PD negotiation.
